and the winner is....

"Chu-wee"

it is short for chichuaua-weenier dog. It sounds like Chewie (you know from star wars) It was a close call... "Jackson" was the next choice from the kids but the dog didn't respond to it at all. We called him Chu-wee one time and he came running. His favorite things to do are run around the field around the house (though he wont go more than 30 feet away from us for some reason), chew on his stuffed squeaky elephant, watch tv on our laps, and take naps on the kitty's bed (she wont go near it anymore). He is an extremely happy little guy and I cant wait to take him to the lake to see if he will swim. He doesn't complain at all when the kids dress him up in his little doggie outfits like he's a doll. Ash & CJ love taking him for walks around the property but quickly decide he doesn't need the leash and decide to hook it to Calin's jeans and Ash will then take CJ for a "walk" while Chu-wee prances around next to them.

our new addition

We got a puppy!

He is absolutely adorable! but missing.... a name! We need your help! Please send your suggestions to us so that we can choose the perfect name for him.

He is a chi-weenie (half chihuahua and half wiener dog). He is 6 months old, and about 10 lbs. He is definitely a lap dog and absolutely adores Ashley and CJ- they think he is the best thing since sliced bread.

He discovered Voilet's kitty toy and watching him play with it is hilarious. He kept sneaking up on it and touching it and when it starts bouncing and jingling he runs away... only to come back again and again.

Don't forget to send in name suggestions!

CJ's 1st cooking accident

CJ's 1st cooking accident (and if he is anything like his mother, definately not his last...) CJ was helping make dinner and a pot of hot water fell on him. He is such a tough little boy.You can see where his reef sandles protected his skin. CJ was lucky that his skin didnt blister, it is starting to peel and it looks worse in the picture than it does in real life. The special burn medicine is really helping and he says it "tickles" (it tingles). He thinks its funny that he gets to wear shorts in the rain (pants irritate his skin) and flipflops to school (only tennis shoes are allowed). His older sister dotes on him and brings him anything he asks for, she even sneaks him candy when mom isnt looking.

holy bubbles batman!

After a long day of quad riding and sledding the kids decided that they wanted to take a bath in Grandma Stone's jetted bathtub because they heard that it makes REALLY good bubbles. They ended up playing (i mean getting clean...) for over an hour. They giggled and laughed and made bubble beards till they were all pruney.

frontyard fun

On Martin Luther King day there was no school and so all of the stones got together in my parents front yard and rode quads, golf carts, motorcycles, ... and a sled. Uncle Jeff hooked a strap to the back of a quad and attached the other end to a sled and the kids spent hours and hours taking turns pulling the sled and being pulled. The little kids got pulled slow and easy, the older kids got pulled faster and got whipped around and would do "rollie-pollie-ollies" as they flew off the sled (it looked remarkably similar to someone being pulled on a tube behind a boat) All of the kids had a blast!

Lake Tahoe

Over the weekend we went to Tahoe with some family and friends. We had such a good time! The kids played outside for hours and hours playing in the snow and sliding down the hill right next to the house

Ashley hurt her tongue by licking an icecicle and it got stuck

CJ going down the hill next to the house with cousin Lexi

CJ wanted to know if we could save the snow and take it home with us.

Ash wanted to know if she could eat the snow.

We had a wonderful new years. Both kids had friends over to spend the night. We went to my parents house for our traditional wicked yummy fondue dinner, then went home and watched movies till the kids passed out on the couch. On New Years Day we went quadding on my parents property and sat around a campfire in their front yard. It was a perfect start to a new year. We hope your celebrations were as fun as ours!
