Pinewood Derby
CJ participated in his very 1st Boy Scout Pinewood Derby. He got 2nd place in his age bracket. I am so proud of him! He was a really good sport and he cheered on his friends.
CJ painted his car all by himself. It is blue with a red racing stripe along the top. He says that next year he wants to get the award for the shiniest car...
This track is awesome! It has sensors that track the cars across the finish line that times to more than a thousandths of a second and transmits it to a computer and the times get projected onto the wall so everybody can see the times.
Along with Mom & Ashley, Dad & Liz drove in from Tracy, and G&G Smith came to cheer him on. The Buells, Henrys, Pittmans, and Jeff & Aidan were there too! Our families definitely got the loudest cheers!
Ashley entered a car into the sibling race... AND WON 1st PLACE! Her car was so fast!
Tahoe Jan 2011
We got to go to Tahoe again in January. This time we went with The Pittman's and Erin Odessa's Family. We brought Addison with us. The weather was warm and sunny and the kids stayed out for hours and hours and hours. We had to drag them inside for food and potty breaks, then they went right back outside the minute they were done.
I know i'm a little biased but he is such a CUTE kid!
Girls vs Boys Snowball Fight... guess who won...
The Henry Family has an awesome snowball maker that they shared with us. It rocks! It makes perfect snowballs.
The kids kept eating the snow no matter how many times we parents told them it was yucky. I'm surprised they didn't freeze their poor tummies.
CJ looking in the 2nd story window. The snow was piled really high between the houses. He liked to knock and wave at whoever was in the family room or kitchen.
Hot tubing in the snow was awesome. The kids thought it was fun to be in the snow in their swimsuits. When they got hot in the spa they would jump out and go stand in the snow till they cooled down then run and jump back in the spa.
CJ liked grabbing the snow then jumping back in the spa and watch the snow melt right in his hand.
We ended up going to the hot tub at the Rec Center every night because the kids liked it so much.

New Years Eve
We celebrated New Years Eve with the Henry's and G&G Stone. We ate a yummy traditional NYE fondue dinner, played board games, and did crafts while watching all the new years celebrations on tv. It was a great way to wrap up 2010 and start 2011. The kids surprised me by easily staying up till 12a.
During crafting we made knit-wits (little people) and quadropus (little 4 legged "octipuses") with gloves, rice, and embellishments. The kids continued to do it after the parents lost interest and sat on the couch to watch tv or sleep.
CJ's 7th Bday
CJ finally got his wish and had a bday party at Chuck-E-Cheese. He was a happy bday boy!
The kids scarfed down the pizza and soda so they could go play the games.
CJ gave 15 tokens to all of his guests so everyone could play arcade games.
The kids spent forever at the ticket counter to pick out the perfect toys.
We couldn't light the candle but he had no problem pretending to blow it out. He is such a good sport.
Friends, Family, Pizza, Arcade Games, and Cake... what day could possibly be better???
The Merrill & Nina Stone Family Christmas Party
Thanks Aunt Diane for hosting the fantastic Christmas Party, we had a great time.
Mom- "what do you think it is?"
CJ- "I hope it is a GPS!"
What kind of 6 year old wants a G.P.S.?!? Where is he going to put it???
I definitely know these are my children and Gpa Stone's grandchildren because most of their Christmas wish lists were full of electronics. They are practically clones of me and him.
