Ashley YMCA Baseball

We had fun playing baseball. It was all of our first times (Ash, CJ, and mine- I was Ashley's team's Coach).
She is adorable!
There were 6 kids on the team, but only 4 showed up for pictures

It was coach pitch baseball and I was able to talk Mike into pitching for me, he was fantastic!

He also filled in as a 1st base coach. Ashley loved being able to talk to her dad during the games.

Pixie Woods

Going to Pixie Woods with the family is always so much FUN!

Calin Graduated from Kindergarten!

CJ loved his first year of school! He always wanted to be the first in line every morning (several of the kids did) so by the end of the year he had us leaving for school a 1/2 hour early so he could be first. He would stand there patiently as one child after another showed up. His teacher Mrs. Swehla-Garcia was fantastic.
Here are a few pics from the year:
Calin's Class
Doing math with valentines heart candy. (I would've liked math as much as he does if we got to do it with candy... we just had colored squares of paper! ... and we had to walk in the snow uphill both ways... and that's before shoes were invented!)

Pajama Day

100th day of school, making necklaces with 100 Cheerios and fruit loops.

Pumpkin day. This was the only day i went to help in the classroom. The teacher gave each team a pumpkin and we got to be scientists! We got to measure, weigh, see if it floats or sinks (pumpkins float- i had no idea!), and cut it open and get all gooey while counting all of the seeds. We ended the day with pumpkin pie! This year was fantastic!

Ashley Graduated 3rd Grade!

Alas, Ashley graduated from yet another year of school... every time she does i get older and older. This was one of her favorite years, she loved her teacher Mr. Delgado, she got to go to "Valley Days", and learned about her mom's favorite subject- the solar system.
Here are some of the highlights of the year:
Her ancestry doll (thank you Grandma Stone for all your help!)

Her report on Johnny Appleseed

Self portrait

And last but not least... her science project. A board game about the solar system. It had facts about all the planets and then you got to move your piece (a rock- Calin so kindly offered from his "fancy rocks" collection) the number of places that planet is from the sun. It is actually quite fun to play!

My Utah Trip

I got to hitch a ride with my parents and my sister Crystal to Utah. I stayed with the Berry Family. We had a great time!
We went to the Tulip Festival at Thanksgiving Point. They had every color imaginable... and churros! what is a festival without churros???

On the way through Reno we stopped for breakfast at the Black Bear Diner and ordered a bear claw pastry and this is what they gave us! Holy Moly! and it was way yummy too!

The 2nd day we were there we got to watch Star run a 1/2 marathon- 13.1 miles doesn't seem like 1/2 of anything.... that's a LONG run... no breaks... no switching into a car... all in a row! She did it in 1 hour 58 minutes, my sister ROCKS!

I love my sisters!

the longest i ever stopped in Nevada...

This past Thursday was the longest I ever have stopped in Nevada. Usually its just a gas refill and potty break, maybe some Taco Bell... But this Thursday on the way home from Utah my parents, Crystal, and I were involved in a
TRIPLE CAR PILEUP!!!!
It was scary but very interesting to see how my family and myself handled this extreme situation (turns out my mom can patch up other people's head wounds not just her daughters', and Crystal and I ... i'll just say it... we got to play with flares! It was one of the scariest moments of my life and i am grateful that we got out of it with just a wrecked car and some cuts and bruises.
I've posted the car wreck pictures that i took with my celphone on my photo webpage

Our Easter Makeovers

Our Easter Makeovers
Roxy's Before Picture
After
Roxy is definitely ready for Easter!

Chu-wee's Before Picture

After
CJ chose to have Chu-wee be blue because it is a boy color...

Most girls choose nail polish to match their clothes... i did it to match my skin!
Getting a doggie to sit still in the bathtub for 20 minutes after i brushed the color on is hard work! I was constantly trying to keep them from jumping out and cuddling them so that they would stay in the tub (and yes i was wearing gloves and a plastic clothes cover and i still ended up with blue and magenta dye all over me!)
