Most girls choose nail polish to match their clothes... i did it to match my skin!
Taylor Pittman, Alexis Henry, Keifer, Auston Buell, Kade Henry, Bryce Buell, CJ Tunqusit, Ashley Tunquist, & Addison Stone
Second item of the day was to make it so Roxy stops falling down the stairs at night time to go potty (even though it is kinda funny). I didnt want to drill holes into the deck for these solar lights for the stairs so I found some scrap wood from dad's house and used his ban saw, belt sander, and drill press and... viola! lighted steps!(Thanks dad for sharing your tools!)
So an order to target.com + 4 hours of building cabinets (and 2 band aids...i'll admit i stabbed myself a couple of times with the screwdriver- those things are sharp!) And a lot of organizing and throwing stuff away and this is what i got...
After a trip to Lowe's (those people rock! they totally told me how to tile from start to finish, and showed me exactly what i needed to buy!) and a 30 minute negotiation with the kids about which tiles we wanted we came home with a plan on how to refinish the table. I got to work (with Beth offering lots of emotional support) and i Tiled A Table!!!! i rock!
It was so easy! it was 85 percent worry and 15 percent work. The tile looks really cool and all that is left to do is place another coat of sealant to the wood. (plus, i learned how to do it better the next time)
2 projects down and like 50 to go! woo hoo! we already have the garden prepping for this years fruits and veggies (we purchased an apple tree that has 4 different kinds of apples grafted on it, a pear tree with 4 types of pears, and a blood orange tree), and seeds starting to sprout in the greenhouse on the front porch. Exciting! we will be refinishing the kitchen table, painting the cupboards, painting the bathrooms, and installing an awesome vinyl sign that says "Tunquist Family" (thanks to Walapaloo.com! -my sister Angel's vinyl cutting business). I am so excited.
The kids were all ready for bed and watching a show before bed so i decided to take a bath. I usually pull the doggie bed into the bathroom so that chu-wee can sit on something soft instead of the hard ground while he "protects" me from... the bubbles. CJ decided that he didn't want to watch the show that Ashley chose and so he grabbed his DS and kicked Chu-wee outta his bed and decided to keep me company instead. (luckily i have a curtain that i can close so that only my head shows). CJ played his game and described -in detail- the game he was playing. (I now know WAY more about the Indiana Jones Lego game than i ever thought i would!) CJ is a sweetheart and i love hanging out with him.
